Akihito OKURA

Professional Experience

Mr. Okura is the Director of Information Technology at our firm. His practice encompasses patent prosecution in the software, electrical, and mechanical fields. Mr. Okura has particular expertise in the areas of robotics, motion tracking software, computer programing, wired telecommunications and wireless telecommunications. He serves as the firm’s client manager for most of our telecommunication and broadcasting clients. Prior to joining SUGIMURA, Mr. Okura was a telecommunications researcher where he won numerous awards for his research in motion tracking software and cellular networks, including the 2006 Excellent Paper Award from the Information Processing Society of Japan (a full list of his awards can be viewed at the right). He is also active in the international IP community and travels several times a year to attend international IP conferences and visit clients abroad.
