Professional Experience

Dr. Kato is the Senior Manager of our Material and Chemical Division. His practice encompasses patent prosecution in the material science and chemistry fields. Dr. Kato has particular expertise in the areas of resin compositions, color filters, optical films, LCD displays, semiconductor material, information display panels, and electromagnetic shielding material. Prior to becoming a patent attorney, Dr. Kato was a technology developer at Teijin Fiber Limited where he conducted research regarding methods of producing ethylene glycol and dimethyl terephthalate from biomass.
